Abstract(EN): There is a general agreement among the contributors of this collection that the international declarations, agreements, and charters that have been adopted since the end of the Cold War period are a reasonable framework for the protection of minority rights. The book is to ensure that the rights are implemented, and that national minorities fulfill their responsibilities to the state. The case studies included in this volume are on Macedonia, Russia, Russian minorities, minorities in Romania and Bulgaria, and the Jewish Question in East- Central Europe.
