Abstract: (RO) Atanasije Stojkoviã, autorul primului manual de fizicº în limba sârbº (publicat în trei volume, la Viena, în 1801, 1802 ¤i 1803), a întreþinut multiple legºturi cu personalitºþi importante ale culturii ¤i vieþii religioase din actualul Banat românesc. Fisica se remarcº: arhimandritul Pavle Kengelac, Grigorije Obradoviã, episcopul Pavle Avakumoviã, senatorul arºdean Sava Ar¤iã, dar ¤i scriitorii români Nicolae Stoica de Haþeg ¤i Dimitrie Þichindeal. Toate aceste legºturi sunt o dovadº a faptului cº Atanasije Stojkoviã, om cu o formaþie enciclopedicº, personalitate respectabilº a culturii noastre, a fost apreciat ¤i a avut o mare

(ENG) Atanasije Stojkoviã, the author of the first physics textbook in the Serbian language (published in Vienna, in three volumes, in 1801, 1802 and 1803) had numerous contacts with the renowned cultural and religious figures from the area of the present Romanian part of Banat. In the first place, one of them was Dositej Obradoviã, who had a positive influence on his work. In addition, among the subscribers for Fisika (Physics) from that area, there stand out: Pavle Kengelac, Grigorije Obradoviã, the bishop Pavle Avakumoviã, the Arad senator Sava Arsiã, as well as the Romanian writers Nicolae Stoica from Haþeg and Dimitrie Þichindeal. All these contacts prove that this encyclopedically educated man, a respectable figure of our culture, was well-known and popular in these regions, too.
