Abstract: (ENG) The study intents to contribute to the definition of national minorities in the Romanian law, highlighting the points under which domestic regulations does not fully meets Romania’s international commitments. The limitation of the circle of national minorities to those already represented in Parliament and the conditioning of the organizations that can represent these minorities by the public utility qualification granted by the Government and by the proof of representativeness in 15 counties are the main themes of reflection of the author.
(RO) Studiul îşi propune să contribuie la definirea minorităţii naţionale în dreptul românesc, evidenţiind aspectele sub care reglementarea internă nu corespunde în totalitate angajamentelor asumate de România în plan extern. Limitarea cercului minorităţilor naţionale la cele deja reprezentate în Parlament şi condiţionarea organizaţiilor ce pot reprezenta aceste minorităţi de acordarea calificativului de utilitate publică de către Guvern şi de dovedirea reprezentativităţii la nivelul a 15 judeţe constituie temele principale de reflecţie ale autoarei.
