Abstract: (En) The present case study draws upon the migratory flows existing between Romania and Italy, seen from a historical perspective. The first part of the analysis proves that the presence of Italian labor in Romania, since 1868, is undoubtedly a fact, while the second part, employing official statistical data, focuses on how the migratory flows acted like leverage upon many Italian citizens. However, it is noteworthy to mention that this phenomenon had a strong mixed character, meaning that we can speak about two sorts of migration: temporary and peremptory. And last but not least, should it be also mentioned that the general motivation explaining the migratory flows has a pure economical nature.
