Abstract: (En) The study is focused on the Jewish emancipation process in the marginal regions of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, such as the Banat, after 1867. Several important issues are described, namely: the social and cultural aspirations, the integration into the urban life of Timisoara, the question of the assimilation into the Hungarian culture, the rabbi's role and the relations with local authorities and populations in the context of multicultural and multiconfessional life, in the cities of Banat. The most important part of the study explains what the political options were during the transition from the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy to the Romanian State and what kind of ideologies were dominant in the Jewish communities.
