Title: Project Extending Roma Participation in Balkan, Albania, Kosovo and Romania

Abstract: The project focuses on the social capital as a key element to consolidate the democracy and respect for Roma rights in Albania, Kosovo and Rumania. Our initiative is based in the idea that Roma and non Roma are factors that can bring about the positive change; despite they are part of different entities in the governmental or nongovernmental sector. We acknowledge their experiences, their potentials and we want to catalyze and accompany with steps that grow with them for making them able to take their own responsibilities. In addition we will enhance the possibility of starting a dialogue and promotion of a social aggregation, characterized by participation and joint responsibilityof Roma and non-Roma actors as peers to address the Roma Issues. Finally we will favor the synergies and optimize the use of the existing resources in the local, national and regional reality.
Problem statement: To enhance the possibility of starting a dialogue and promotion of a social aggregation, characterized by participation and joint responsibility of Roma and non-Roma actors as peers to address the Roma Issues.
Goal/purpose: Training of 75 people working within public authorities and NGOs that work with/for Roma community raised their capacities on NGO Management, Community Development, Fundraising, legislation for protecting minorities' rights, etc.
