Abstract: (En) The aim of our survey is to answer several questions: What are the main Hebrew sources written in Hebrew characters in the Hebrew, Aramaic, Yiddish, Judeo-Spanish (Ladino) languages on the history of the Romanian Jewry? Do these sources contain information only on the history of the Jews, or also on Romania‟s history? How may these sources be used and in which historical fields may they be used? We mention that the Hebrew sources represent the main ones for researching the past of the Jewish communities. The point of view presented in these sources originates from inside the community, as opposed to other sources that describe the community from outside. Thus, presented from a Jewish standpoint, we do stress the importance of Hebrew sources in order to reconstruct the history of Jewish communities from within, while also examining their roles in their respective countries.
(Ro) Textul de faţă îşi propune să răspundă la câteva întrebări. Care sunt principalele izvoare ebraice - respectiv scrise cu litere ebraice în limbile ebraică, aramaică, idiş, iudeo-spaniolă (ladino) - referitoare la istoria evreilor din România? Cum pot fi clasificate aceste izvoare? Din ce perioadă datează ele? Oferă aceste izvoare informaţii asupra istoriei evreilor din România în exclusivitate sau regăsim şi date asupra istoriei României în general? În ce mod pot fi utilizate aceste izvoare şi asupra căror domenii istorice? În ce măsură sunt credibile aceste izvoare? Ce poziţie trebuie să ia cercetătorul în cazul unor inadvertenţe între inform
