Abstract: This amateur film documents the memorial events that took place in the village Kuriatky (Ukraine) on May 1st, 1992: A burial ceremony, the lighting of candles. (The deportation and killing of the Jews from the area started at the time when the Romanian army entered the area. All members of the Moskovitz family were murdered). Interviews with the following village members: Georgy Gromyl, Karmeluk Konstontin, Juliana Margarita and Maria Faliboga (about how more than 1,300 Jews were murdered in the Tchernovcy area. On July 17th, 1941, the Romanians murdered 153 Jews. The Jews were deported to another town and were killed there; only one-person survived (was hid by a woman). The witness remembers the names of Jewish families who were murdered. Interview: Vladimir Pochno Petrovich- Was a teacher in Kislovs . In 1944-45 an investigation team exhumed and investigated the killings in the Kislovsk area and in the towns of: Shishkovcy, Voroutckanka, Borivcy and Others. Many Jews were murdered on the eve of June 30th, 1941, by the residents of the villages (the Ukrainians). Documents concerning the investigation are in the archives in Tchernovcy .Photographs: A gravestone which was put up by the residents of the Towns in the Tchernovcy area.
