Abstract: (En) The present paper - From the Constitution of 1923 to the Legal Statute of 1940. An Insight into the Jewish Problem in Romania - outlines several stages of the anti-Jewish policy in interwar Romania, materialized in: 1) the repeated violation of the democratic provisions within the Constitution of 1923; 2) the promulgation, in 1938, of the Constitution of King Charles II through which the establishment of the royal dictatorship and the abolishment of the democratic regime were legislated; 3) the adoption of the Jews' Legal Statute in 1940, which proclaimed the law of blood definition, the juridical and political distinction between blood defined Romanians and Romanian and Jewish citizens. The road towards the Holo - caust was paved ahead.
