Abstract: (En) Is the image that we associate with our own group independent from the one that we associate with the Other? Implicitly, does this possible dependence explain the complex process based on which we construct the image of the Other? These are the ideas developed by the survey. The two identity categories to be assessed are the generic Romanian and the generic Jew in Romania between the two World Wars.
