Abstract: (En) To discuss about Jew's involvement and role played in communist regime settlement in Romania is probably one of the most difficult task for our contemporary historiography. Thus, a historian has to judge correctly the extent amount of information, including the extreme ones, coming from their part, and to approach critically the documents from the available archives, and this is a real methodological
challenge.
As far as we are concern, we chose to present a series of documents regarding this issue and this research conclusion enable us to understand the Jew involvement in Securitate'structure, back in ‘50s, in a proper light: the Jew officers were part of the secret service structures, many time in key position, but to charge them with the crimes and abuses of the period is a great mistake, as any distortion of reality. This is another situation, when only a correct and honest approach of the past, an its understanding both by Jews and Romanian people, represents the way to discover and research the history.
