Abstract: (En) My paper is dedicated to th ecclesiastical problem of the Armenian Uniate Church in 1719. After Bishop Oxendio Virziresco's death in 1715, a new debates had came to a public on the Armenian's jurisdictions in Transylvania. The renovating Roman-Catholic Bishopric in Transylvania left stone unturned to integrate thc Armenians into the Catholic Church both dogmatic and canonical point of view. Unlike thc Uniate Romanians, who declared a church- union with Roman Catholic Church between 1697 and 1701. regarding their numbers the Armenians in Transylvania did not amount to a great community. Therefore, this, in fact, facilitated the Román Catholic Bishopric's situation to mecddle in the Armenian Uniate Church's internál affairs.
The main aim of thc Bishopric was obviously at subduing them to the Roman Catholic Church. The newly elected bishop György Mártonffy after his arrival at Transilvania in 1716 had visited all the Armenian parishes, and stated that the Armenians pursued heretic and schismatic costumes in conducting their holy liturgics. For this reason, the bishop Mártonffy sent a document to the Holy Congregation for Propagation of the Faith (Sacra Congregatio de Propaganda Fide), on last of June 1719, which aggregated in twelve points the heretic errors of the Armenians in Transilvania. A document itself concretely focused upon the links of the Armenians with Chalcedonianism, accusing them of denying the teaching of the Fourth Ecumcnical Synod in Chalcedon, 451 A. D. This accusation itself had, of course, proved to be falsa, i. e. the both the Armenian Apostolié and Uniate Church never negated this Ecumenical Synod.
This paper is primarily employed in enlightening the historical and dogmatic background of this document written by Bishop Mártonffy. At the same time, it has been turned out that main purpose of this document was to discredit the Uniate Armenians, and obtain the jurisdictions over them from the Holy Sec. At any rate, this document should be definitely regarded as a milestone, which led the Armenian Uniate Church in Transilvania to lose its own complete independency in that province.

(Hu) Oxendio Virziresco (1654-1715) címzetes aladiai püspök 1715. március 10-én bekövetkezett halálával az erdélyi örmény uniált püspöki szék megüresedett, s nem sokkal azután megindult az örmények feletti joghatósági vita: ugyanis a megújuló erdélyi római katolikus püspökség magának kívánta megszerezni az erdélyi örmény uniált egyház feletti jurisdikciót, amelyet 1690 óta közvetlenül maga a Szentszék gyakorolt.
Az erdélyi római katolikus püspökség ezt a szándékot azzal igyekezett mindig is alátámasztani, hogy az elhunyt örmény püspök ugyan rövid ideig, de átmenetileg 1712-1713 között intézte az erdélyi püspökség ügyeit is, ennek okán az erdélyi magyar klérus úgy ítélte meg, hogy az uniált örményeket az erdélyi római katolikus püspökség alá kell vonni, mert maga Oxendio püspök jó katolikusként mindig is erre törekedett. Másik nagyon fontos észrevétel volt, hogy az erdélyi örmények számarányukat tekintve - ami ekkor háromezer és ötezer lélek körül mozoghatott - nem alkottak olyan nagy etnikai közösséget, mint az 1697-1701 között Gyulafehérvárt unióra lépő erdélyi románok. így feleslegesnek tartották egy örmény uniált püspöki hivatal fenntartását
