Abstract: (ENG) The following study tries to establish the most important political and propagandistic issues, used by Romanian communists in order to annihilate the identity of Turkish people from Ada-Kaleh island. The role of propaganda was a major one. The propaganda subjects avoided the local realities and tried to underline that the destruction of the island was an industrial necessity. The communist regime did not care about human destinies. Those people who survived were forced to integrate themselves in local industry. That new reintegration was never easy accepted. Today the few survivors relate to their families the whole spiritual framework of their drama. Also the historians and journalists assemble these testimonies for the future.
