Abstract: (En) The Demonizing of the Jew plays an essential part in the attempt to build the portrait of the "imaginary Jew" in European culture. This study pursues all the aspects of this important topic in the morphology of anti-semitism. Starting from the theological perspective through the mythical and folkloric ones the author focuses, in the end, on the political impact of this ancient mental stereotype. Though centered on the Romanian culture, the articles provides a comparative view with other European countries
