Synopsis: (HUN) Parajd lakosságának 99 százaléka magyar, valamivel több a református, mint a katolikus. A parajdiak évszázadok óta nem túl jó minőségű földjeikből és fakitermelésből élnek, pár százan a helyi bányában kaptak munkát. A falunak 1898 óta van országszerte ismert fúvószenekara, sóbányája gyógyhatásáról híres. Másik nevezetessége, hogy Hargita megyében évek óta Parajdon a legmagasabb a fiatalkorú öngyilkosok száma.
(EN) 99 percent of the inhabitants of Parajd are Hungarian; there's a little more of reformed than catholic. They live off their lands (although they are not of high quality) and timbering. Some of them work in the local mine. The village is famous for its own brass band since 1898, and the medicinal salt mine. It's also known for its suicides. Parajd has had the highest number of suicides committed by teen-agers in Hargita county for years. In the last year there were nine.
