Abstract: (ENG) The Romanian Turkish and Tatar Community and the Relations between Romania and the Republic of Turkey in the Interwar Period: Disagreements and Solutions Emánuel PLOPEANU, Metin OMER The Romanian Turkish and Tatar Community and the Relations between Romania and the Republic of Turkey in the Interwar Period: Disagreements and Solutions Among Romania 's relations with the countries from the Balkans, those with Turkey are defined as the most fruitful, either in the Interwar period (and during Second World War too) or in the second half of the century. Indeed, no major tensions emerged to undermine mutual understanding. However, the interest in and knowledge of these relations is much under this claimed level of friendship. In both countries a lack of interest for picturing the whole image of Turkish-Romanian relations could be identified. In our work we choose to analyse the problem of the Romanian Turks ' and Tatars ' émigration, its means , its conséquences and how this process affected the mutual state relations. In our opinion, despite ail the difficulties which arose (some oj them are mentioned by us in détail), the end ofthe fourth decade of the 20th century is marked by a complété agreement between the two Governments on this specific item.
